上栏为气候平均（1981-2010年）夏季500-200 hPa扰动气温场T'（气温减去纬圈平均，单位：°C），选取图中红色方框大值区，即青藏高原地区（25-45°N，65-105°E）平均对流层T'作为TPTT（the Tibetan Plateau tropospheric temperature）指数，下栏为1980年以来标准化逐年夏季6-8月平均TPTT指数。上栏图中灰色阴影为1500m以上地形。
